Meet Irene Crump and Phyllis Jones – twin sisters who just celebrated their 100th birthday together!
The twins were born 25 minutes apart on November 20th, 1916 and went to the same school, had the same first jobs, and now even live together in Stourbridge, Worcestershire! Just recently, the duo celebrated their remarkable 100th birthday with a Sunday roast and 48 friends and family members. “We often celebrate our special birthdays together, and we had a lovely day,” Irene, the younger of the two said. “We celebrated our 90th together, and last year we celebrated our 99th birthday too. Hard work and good food is our secret, that’s all I can put it down to.”
The sisters didn’t ask for gifts on their birthday, instead, they requested donations for the air ambulance. “We haven’t got all the money in yet but we think we’ve done pretty well, it’s a cause close to our heart,” Irene said. How sweet!
