The beautiful city of Trenčín can be found along the Váh River valley, which is not too far from the Czech border. Spiš Castle is one of the oldest castles in all of Europe, located in the village of Žehra, above Spišské Podhradie. This ancient castle dates back to the 12th century, and is also part of the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
