Vadim Stein is a Ukrainian photographer who captures elegant pictures of dancers in motion.
Based in St. Petersburg, Russia, Stein was originally educated in the sphere of sculpture and restoration, and his photography is clearly inspired in some part by this as his subjects often look like graceful statues poised for eternity in various entrancing positions.
“Solving the aesthetic problem, I also reveal many ethical questions,” writes the photographer. “For me, such things as love and death are revealed through the aesthetic category, beauty is the predecessor of ethics.”
