6 Simple Yet Powerful Self-Defense Moves For Women

5. Front Kick to Groin

6 Simple Yet Powerful Self-Defense Moves For Women

Kicking someone in the groin to protect yourself is probably not something new. And it is also a good option if there’s some distance between yourself and your attacker. Use your shin bone to strike (anywhere from your instep (where you tie your shoelaces) to the bottom of the knee).

Here’s How:

1. Use your back leg (the kicking leg) and the forward hip movement for a powerful kick to the groin.

2. Drive your knee upward for a quick whipping motion.

6. Hammerfist Strike

This is another safe alternative to punching. It can be used on the nose, chin, cheekbone, collarbone and throat.

Here’s How:

1. Make a tight fist. Keep your thumb outside your fingers not tucked into the fist.

2. Take your fist by your head, raising your elbow slightly upward, then with all your strength drive your fist forward and downward, rotating your elbow downward.

4. Rotate your hips and shoulders to generate power. The motion adopted in the hammerfist strike is similar to throwing a ball or hammering in a nail.

Everything here but the palm strike is good.

    Why?

Because proper punches (jabs, crosses, and hooks) done with the first two knuckles (the knuckles of the index and middle finger) are better than palm strikes
