2. Seeking Acceptance From Others
When we try to improve ourselves we will do anything it takes to gain acceptance from those around us. Have you ever considered that fitting in might not be the best solution to self-improvement?
Being just like everybody else means that you don’t necessarily care for anything that you, yourself, are interested in. You need to show others what you’re made of, demonstrate the confidence that everyone lacks in order to be different.
Fitting in isn’t always the best solution when it comes to self-respect.
3. Self-Hate
To be blunt, there is not other person in the world that is like you. To have a negative view of your self-image is probably one of the most counterproductive things you could do in order to have self-respect.
That is the whole point of self-respect after all, is loving yourself, standing up for the things that you believe in, and fighting for the change that you want to see flourish in this world.
If you are constantly putting negative energy out in the world what do you think is going to come right back to you? Think about all of the things that make you an awesome person and if there isn’t any at the moment then start transforming yourself into someone you love!
