Funotic.com Where Fun Never Ends
A finalist presents his giant ganoderma at the annual “Mushroom King” contest at Nanhua County, in southwest China’s Yunnan Province on Tuesday.
There are a total of ten categories in the “Mushroom King” event, with separate sections for different species, such as matsutake, ganoderma and truffle.
Over 2,000 people attended this event. Visitors were not only able to see the diverse varieties of mushroom on display, but also could have a taste of many mushroom-based dishes Nanhua County is located in the hinterland of Yunnan Province, which is known as the “World Wild Mushroom Kingdom”. Over 6,500 tons of mushrooms are sold from this region each year.
